ISTANBUL AIRPORT in
Turkey has been named the "Best Airport for 2024" and received the
2024 Aviation Awards for the fourth time in a row, airport operator IGA
announced on Monday.
Istanbul Airport was
selected as "Airport of the Year" in 2021, 2022 and 2023 previously
by Aviation News, the airport operator said in a statement, adding that the
awards are given in 14 different categories, and almost 4,000 votes.
Acting CEO of IGA
Istanbul Airport Selahattin Bilgen said at the award ceremony in Greece on Sunday
that IGA is proud to receive the award.
Standing out among all
the international airports in the world and achieving this title once again
shows the spirit of all the airport teams who strive to work with excellence,
he added.
