ACT Wazalendo Party, through its Mafifi Branch, Kihesa Ward, Iringa Region, has officially revoked the membership of Monalisa Joseph Ndala for allegedly failing to comply with the requirements of the party's Constitution,
The move is being cited in connection with the recent controversy over the nomination of a presidential candidate, after Ndala opposed the nomination of Luhaga Joelson Mpina as the party's presidential candidate.
Ndala's objection led the Registrar of Political Parties to annul Mpina's nomination, although ACT Wazalendo has now taken the matter to the High Court. The court has given the Government only five days to respond to the case.
