SAMAJWADI PARTY'S ABU AZAMI SAYS KASHMIR FILES BASED ON LIES, BJP HITS BACK

SAMAJWADI
Party Leader Abu Asim Azami Said That Kashmir Files, A Film On Kashmiri Pandits' Exodus, Was Based On Lies.

The Samajwadi Party (SP) Leader And MLA From Mumbai’s Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar, Abu Asim Azmi, Said That The Movie Kashmir Files -- Portraying The Exodus Of Kashmiri Pandits From The Kashmir Valley In The Late 90s -- Was Based On A “Lie” As Only 89 Kashmiri Pandits Were Killed In The Past 30 Years.

“Kashmir Files Was Based On A Lie. An RTI Reveals Only 89 Kashmiri Pandits Have Died And 800-700 Muslims Have Died,” Said The Samajwadi Party Leader, Adding That Hate Speech Should Be Made A Non-Bailable Offence.

Speaking On The Law And Order Situation, Abu Asim Azmi Said That There Was No Fear Of The Law Among People As Elected Representatives Were Being Issued Death Threats. The Leader Received A Photo With A Gun, Crosshairs And A Blood-Stained Knife Pointing At Him. The Image Had A Warning Note That Read, "There Is Time For Three Days!".

Taking Objection To Abu Azmi’s Statement BJP MLA Atul Bhatkalkar Said: “Abu Azmi Was Sitting With The Rulers During The MVA (Maha Vikas Aghadi) Government. But He Must Have Forgotten That The Government Has Changed.”

He Said That Azmi Was Criticised For His Statement On Kashmiri Pandit’s Exodus In The Assembly.
