ZARI THE BOSSLADY has
signed another contract as the ambassador for Softcare diapers.
Speaking to the press
this Thursday at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Dar es Salaam, Zari said the diaper
manufacturers, Keds Tanzania, recognized her effective representation of the
brand.
She said as a parent, she
understands the challenge of having a child without diapers, which is why she
and the company have been involved in many charity works.
“Because as a parent,
when you’ve given birth and you don’t have the support of diapers, it really
becomes a big issue. So, as a parent, I’ve done my job to represent the brand,
and that’s why Keds, again, is taking me upon them to say that we need to
continue this partnership,” Zari said.
She mentioned that the
company has introduced products for newborn babies that she claims are not
available in the market.
She also announced that
this Friday they will visit Muhimbili National Hospital to distribute diapers
to parents as part of their partnership with the hospital, aiming to empower
the Tanzanian community.
On another note, Zari
said she and her husband, Shakib, plan to have a child in the future. “We’re
actually looking forward to having a child, Insha’Allah maybe two, but we are
trying for one, so meaning the Softcare legacy is going to continue, diapers, I
mean. Yes, we are going to have a baby,” Zari replied to one of the reporters
who asked her a question.
Regarding why Shakib has
been accompanying her on many of her trips, Zari said it’s because he’s her
friend, partner, and he supports her in her career and loves to be there all
the time.
“He doesn’t have work?”
one reporter asked a question, causing other journalists to laugh in the room.
“He has his work, my man
is a businessman,” Zari explained. “Do I not have work in South Africa? Do I
not have work? Even if I travel with my husband, and I have my own work that
I’ve left behind, do I not have work?” Mama Tee questioned.
“My husband sells cars,
many people don’t know what he does, he sells cars, that’s what he does.”
