EXPERTS INSPIRED Women to
Embrace The 5 C’s To Rise, Thrive, And Lead. Confidence, consistency,
communication, courage and compass are the essence of leadership, former
Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Liberata
Mulamula, affirms.
Drawing from her wealth
of experience, Ambassador Mulamula imparted the essence of leadership, terming
them the 5 C's, during the Second Annual Accelerate Women's Executive Breakfast
at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dar es Salaam over the weekend.
She said that as a
leader, one should always carry it for the people one serves and never feel
afraid or intimidated to go after what one desires or believes.
Compass, always have
direction to lead. Have a vision that sustains you.
“This is what I want you
all to take with you, the 5C’s. Know who you are, never doubt yourself or your
ability to lead. Be known for how you walk and speak. Don't waiver. Consistency
in leadership is vital and will keep you accountable,” shared Ambassador
MulaMula.
The Accelerate Women Executive
Breakfast, themed ‘Ignite the Fire,’ was hosted by Accelerate Business Group.
The event wasn't just
about a morning meal but a platform for empowerment, growth and transformation,
gathering executives, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders dedicated to improving
the status of women in society.
In the same vein, the
Canadian High Commissioner to Tanzania, His Excellency Kyle Nunas, delivered a
keynote speech highlighting Canada's commitment to gender equality and women's
leadership.
He underscored the importance
of supporting women's development, sponsoring the event as a testament to this
commitment.
Whereas the Head of the
United Nations System in Tanzania, Zlatan Milisic, emphasised the economic
empowerment of women as a key driver of national progress.
His address highlighted
the pivotal role women play in driving economies forward and enhancing business
competitiveness.
Sharing her vision for
advancing women in leadership, the visionary founder and director of Accelerate
Business Group, Bernice Fernandes, encouraged fellow women to embrace courage
and elevate themselves to new heights, using her personal journey as
inspiration.
The Accelerate Women's
Executive Breakfast was more than just a gathering; it was a catalyst for
change. The demand for such initiatives beyond Dar es Salaam signals a
compelling need to expand and reach more women across regions.
As the event concluded,
the echoes of empowerment lingered, inspiring women across Tanzania to rise,
thrive, and lead. The flames of inspiration ignited that morning continue to
burn brightly, lighting the path for a future of gender equality and
empowerment.
