NOW official that the star of Yanga, DR Congo citizen, Fiston Mayele has officially left the club to Egypt to join the Pyramids Club while Yanga have also brought down his replacement who is a citizen of Cameroon, Emmanuel Mahop.
Mayele, who joined Yanga two seasons ago from AS Vita in
his country, is leaving Yanga after emerging as the top scorer in the Premier
League last season scoring 17 goals, the same as Said Ntibazonkiza of Simba.
Mayele left the country on Thursday at 8 pm by Qatar
Airways with his manager, Jasmin, where they went to sign an official contract
after reaching a mutual agreement between Yanga and Pyramids and the player
himself.
One of Mayele's close people told this newspaper that,
the striker has been prepared a special reception in addition to being placed
in a five-star hotel in Egypt while waiting for the official signing.
Championi Jumaia witnessed Mayele last Thursday night,
with his manager, Jasmin at the Julius Nyerere International Airport leaving
for Egypt, while the striker asked Yanga fans not to be saddened by his
departure.
"Mayele has left, but he has asked Yanga fans not to
be saddened by that and instead he believes they will find the best striker who
will come to fill his place and take them to a big international stage,"
said one of his managers.
