Songwe regional commissioner, hon. Dr. Francis k. Michael, has successfully resolved the land dispute that lasted for more than 19 years between the village of nanyala and the mbeya cement factory. This step to resolve this crisis has resulted in providing a historic solution to all parties involved.
Dr. Francis, called all parties to the land dispute, namely
the mbeya cement factory and nanyala villagers, and asked the mbeya cement
factory to release 62.5 hectares from their land to provide small-scale miners
from nanyala village.
In addition to giving the area to the miners, but also the
mebeya cement factory has accepted the governor's request not to evict the
people who are engaged in agricultural and animal husbandry activities in the
factory area and instead let them continue to do these activities with one-year
contracts.
Dr. Francis gave land titles to the villagers of nanyala and
the owners of the cement factory on the border of mbeya and songwe regions. He
has demonstrated his unique leadership in resolving conflicts and bringing
development to the people of the region. He has emphasized the importance of
peace and cooperation in bringing about social and economic development in the
area.
Speaking, dr. Francis said, "i have been appointed by
the president of the united republic of tanzania, hon. Dr. Samia suluhu hassan,
with the aim of solving the challenges of the people. We believe that peace is
the basis of development, and today we have been able to restore peace and
happiness to the people of the village of i eat it."
Head of mbozi district, hon. Esther mahawe, has also praised
the efforts of everyone who volunteered in this process to resolve the crisis.
He has encouraged the people to continue to cooperate and support the efforts
of the government in bringing development and peace to the village of nanyala.
Citizens have thanked the regional commissioner, dr. Francis
for his good work in facilitating the resolution of the land dispute, and for
laying the foundation for development in the songwe area. The gift of a goat to
be given by the people as a sign of the generosity of the people of the area
and thanks to his brave leadership and great wisdom in resolving conflicts.
